Football fans worldwide arrived in Doha and flocked to the fan village built from upcycled shipping containers. They were quite stunned at the view of the rows of containerized cabins which are brightly painted in different colors. From a distance, the rows of multicolored container cabins look like an optical illusion in the desert. Outside the container cabins, the tournament’s organizers have equipped the fan village with a range of facilities, like spacious areas with big-cinema screens and beanbags to watch the tournaments, restaurants and coffee bars where fans can enjoy culinary delights and hang out, and even sports facilities.

The Word Cup’s fan village cabin free zone is surely inviting and all-embracing to fans of all ranges, with no exclusivity. The village functions to be a temporary space for the World Cup attenders.
CNA spotted several workers gathering garbage scattering on the surrounding villages area nearby the container cabins. Meanwhile, the other spots surrounding the fan village cabins are ready to provide their utmost hospitality.
The fan village was immediately transformed into a public catwalk. They present themselves proudly in clothes with their national flags. Some crowds gathered at the reception area anticipating enthusiastic looks. While some others were led by the staff members to the metro station.
The fan village turns out to be a satisfactory public space for all football fans as they can spend their leisure with various entertainment from large-cinema screens to sports spots. There is a special for dinner in dining containers that offers tempting cuisines. For lowkey snacks and immediate medical needs, they can find a supermarket and a drugstore.
